Low-Fare Suggestions
I travel enough to recognize a good fare.  Everyone has their secrets, of course.
Here are some must-do tasks when shopping for an airline ticket.
  • Shop around.
  • Never settle for one quote.
  • Be flexible with your dates and times.
  • Consider alternative cities.
  • Compare as many online sources as possible.
Airline pricing is complex.  The more you understand, the better off you are.  You
can find various fares from various sources for the same itinerary, so do your
research and be rewarded for it.
Let Price Determine Vacation Destination
Your heart is set on Hawaii, the Caribbean, or Florida.  You give little consideration
to the fare because you're driven by the destination, not the price.  Have you ever
vacationed somewhere you did not originally consider?  The savings can be
outrageous.  For those open to an adventure, on at least one upcoming vacation I
recommend letting the price dictate your destination.

In recent times, I was fortunate to find incredible fares to places not necessarily
at the top of my list.  Some roundtrip examples:
  • Denver to Pensacola $100
  • Denver to Costa Rica $233
  • Denver to Seattle $139
  • Denver to Portland $101
  • Denver to Hawaii $287
  • Denver to Spain $317
  • Denver to St Thomas $261
